Formed loosely in 2008 in Memphis, Tennessee as an experimental project grounded in the principle of "Less is More'', Vanishing Islands quickly formed into a full and diverse sound mired in aggressive drum and bass lines surrounded by blaring synthesizers. You'd never know that they don't have a guitar player minus of course the solo in their brilliant cover of Stevie Nick's "Edge of Seventeen".
